Church Health Assessment
For Manna, the health and sustainability of the church must be wholistic.
Churches that operate with one wing, figuratively speaking, will eventually come crashing down.
Our concentric model begins inside and works its way out. Everything we do is through relationship. Our ongoing partnerships with pastors enable us to walk with them to understand more deeply how they are doing and to see how we can serve. We are very intentional about connecting.
Church Health Assessment: We have developed a church health assessment that helps us to pinpoint where pastors and churches are both strong and vulnerable. We use this as a simple tool to assess which tracks would benefit the pastor and their church. This assessment takes about 20 minutes for the pastor to take. Pastoral Health Track: If the pastor is unhealthy, the church will reflect this sooner or later. These platforms focus on healthy pastoral rhythms and marriage rhythms in ministry. We have partnered with multiple organizations that provide coaching both individually and as a couple, as well as spiritual direction.
Church Health Track: These platforms relate to the life of the church. We have partnerships with healthy churches so that these platforms aren’t just theoretical but have been put in practice. This gives the pastor the opportunity to look under the hood and get a deeper understanding of what healthy church looks like. Administration, finance, assimilation, leading in team, discipleship and church culture are covered here amongst others.
Movement Health Track: A church (body) cannot be healthy if life doesn’t flow through it. The church is called to minister God’s wholeness to the world but can only do this if it is on the move. Stagnancy will eventually lead to the death of a church. In these platforms we explore mercy and justice, economic sustainability and church multiplication and what these look like practically.
